Many parents know that a giant corrugated box can be a great toy for children and provide many hours of creative play building it into their own little world.
An Austin, USA-based startup took this idea one step further and created an app, named PopUp Play, that lets children design their own castle, spaceship or gingerbread house on a tablet or smartphone.

They can choose from some basic existing structures like house, starship, castle etc and fill in with windows, drawbridges and decorate with pre-existing colours and designs/ coat of arms etc. Once finished designing they simply push the button to order and a few days later the new play box is delivered to their home. The playscapes are easy to assemble and can be folded for easy storage and re-use another day.

Just shows that a lot of imagination and some corrugated board can go a long way…!
